Our Fitzroy North renovation has given new life to a rundown double brick period home. While still paying respect to the traditional features of the home, modern elements have been incorporated into this renovation with subtle hints of Japanese style.
The renovation entailed the restoration of the original archway and corbell details, internal and external painting, new front picket fence with metal capitals, new aluminium windows and a sliding door install, a heritage fireplace restoration, backyard decking, full bathroom, toilet, laundry and kitchen renovations with stunning black marble feature tiles by Academy Tiles and custom floating timber shelving by MJ Harris Carpentry within the wet rooms.
The living spaces feature custom designed cabinetry housing a gas fireplace, designed by the MJ Harris Group and an IKEA kitchen. The kitchen features the installation of a powder coated tin ceiling in the meals and a black tin splashback.
Within the home there were also structural archway works, floor re-leveling with Oak laminate flooring installed and an Oak feature wall within the living room. MJ Harris Electrical took care of all electrical work with feature pendant lights installed in almost every room.
