This Bentleigh bathroom renovation was completed by our team of interior designers and tradespeople to create a timeless and simple design. Whilst we didn’t want to stray too far from the more classic style of the home, we also wanted to give the space a more contemporary twist. We focused on giving the bathroom a really neutral material palette with some texture and contrast. We achieved this by using a soft stone look tile on the floors and walls (National Tiles Mexicana Grey Natural). We also included a timber look vanity (Polytec Angora Oak) and Caesarstone’s gorgeous Turbine Grey for the vanity benchtop and splashback. We chose to continue the floor tile up one wall as we wanted to keep most of the walls in the more simple and clean gloss white tile. This was done to add a point of interest, as well as create balance with the vanity on the opposite wall.
The layout for this bathroom was considered very thoroughly. We included an above bench basin in white for a unique look. We also wanted to fit as much storage into the bathroom as possible, whilst still including a large shower and toilet. With a generous 1200mm vanity, with cupboards and drawers, we also included a large recessed shaving cabinet with mirror doors. We opted for an in-wall cistern for the toilet to maximise the space in front of the vanity. The frameless shower screen also helped to make the bathroom feel even more spacious.
