  • Bathroom and WC renovation by MJ Harris Group in Thornbury, Melbourne.

This bathroom renovation in Dundas St, Thornbury was completed by our talented team of interior designers and tradespeople. Continuing on from the overall feel of the clients’ house, the aim for the bathroom was to create a contemporary space. We wanted to design something that was minimalist but still full of character. We achieved this by using finishes with really stunning patterns and texture. This included the Polytec Notaio Walnut on the vanity/shaving cabinets and the National Tiles Puplis Grigio Tiles. We selected simple chrome tapware and crisp white bench tops to balance the pattern in the tiles and vanity.

We decided to include a walk in shower with a frameless shower screen panel to add to the minimalist aesthetic. Using the same tiles on the wall and floor, we chose to use the large format 1200 x 600mm tiles to give the bathroom a sophisticated feel. This also helps to make the space feel bigger. To achieve the best layout for the clients’ lifestyle, we removed the existing large bath and put in more storage. We included more space in the vanity and with the addition of a recessed shaving cabinet.
